Construction Safety in Taranaki
Background
The Taranaki Construction Safety group has been active since 2008. A group involved or associated with the construction industry were keen to find new ways to influence and change behaviours and reduce the risks for those working in the industry. Like us on Facebook
Regular events include TOOLBOX sessions, the annual Apprentice Challenge and other information workshops.
The organising committee meets every first Tuesday of the month and welcome others particularly to discuss ideas, promotion and coordination of activities.

Taranaki Apprentice Safety Challenge
The seventh annual safety challenge for Taranaki apprentices was held in May 2016. The Master Builders shield was won by the Energyworks team after a contest over ten activities.
The contest allows the participants to demonstrate safety knowlege and ability, while learning from a variety of experts and trainers. Interest in participating in the day continues to grow. if you have a young workforce or would like to provide an apprentice with a different challenge register your interest in the 2017 challenge!
